I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Austin Fire Department

You heard it right - I'm shaving my head in solidarity with children who have cancer and typically lose their hair during treatment, while raising critical funds for childhood cancer research!

In the US, more children die of childhood cancer than any other disease.I am also shaving my head in memory of some people dear to my heart that lost their lives to cancer. Tifani Leatherman lost her battle with cervical cancer at 28 years old. You can read her story at tifanileathermanfoundation.org. My dear Aunt Rosie lost her battle with colon cancer. My nephew survived a battle with hystocytosis after being diagnosed 10 days before his first birthday.We all seem to know someone that has battled cancer or lost the battle. This is just the beginning of my list. Please make a donation on my behalf to support childhood cancer research so that all children diagnosed with cancer will have a better chance for a cure.
