I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Austin Fire Department

You heard it right - I'm shaving my head in solidarity with children who have cancer and typically lose their hair during treatment, while raising critical funds for childhood cancer research!

In the US, more children die of childhood cancer than any other disease. I don't believe anyone today has not been touched by knowing someone who has or had cancer and had to fight this beast. From adults to children friends or family this disease no matter what kind is devastating to everyone. Shaving my head for the first time will be shocking to me but not as shocking as the words so many familys hear when a loved one is told it is cancer. Please make a donation on my behalf to support childhood cancer research so that all children diagnosed with cancer will have a better chance for a cure.
