I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Rancho Viejo

In March of 2008 myself, baseball legend Rod Carew, and 64 other local residents volunteered to be “shavee’s” at our communities first annual Saint Baldrick’s fundraiser (St. Baldrick's is about shaving your head in solidarity of children who lose their hair during cancer treatment). It was a fun event and I couldn’t wait to do it again! One month later, Madison’s classmate Kabrina was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma. After months of radiation, surgery and chemo she is finally back at school with a beautiful head of hair. Kabrina’s illness inspired Maddy to create a team for the 2009 event and she is coordinated our entire school and many little leaguers. Now in 2011 we have set our site pretty high. We hope to recruit 55 shavees and we would like our team to raise $25,000. This year will be my fourth year shaving for St Baldricks and I can hardly wait! Please check out my website http://www.stbaldricks.org/participants/mypage/participantid/424206 March 27th 2011, is the big day! I am currently growing my hair out for the special event and can’t wait to see myself bald again….. Just in time for baseball season. Bald is Beautiful! Sincerely, Michael Regan
