I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Rebels Without A 'Do

April 3, 2011 Well, feast your eyes on my magnificent melon! Bald is beautiful, and I think Ryan and I make this look pretty good. Same goes for my teammates, as all are looking great! Thank you all for your support, as it was you all who have helped me raise this money, and not that competition matters in this instance, but I'm currently 128th of 547 people who shaved, and your support has helped to propel our small band of cancer fighters to 6th or 68 teams! Not bad, especially when you consider that the Kitty Hoynes event is usually in the top-five WORLD WIDE! Thank you again for all you support. It is truly appreciated, and is truly needed to help fund the fight for a cure. Have a great day! Jim Heffron March 29, 2011
Thank you so much to all who have donated to St. Baldrick's on my behalf. I can assure you I'm bald, just having some trouble with photo uploads. I'll get one up on the site soon, though. I am extremely proud of my team, as they are currently in 6th place of the 68 teams that participated, and I'm not ruling out a shot at 5th, or even 4th after all the dust settles and our donations are ALL counted - we should break $12,000, and possibly more! Not bad for 12 educators, students, and family members from a small, rural school district in Oswego County! And hats off to our student members, with at least one who will be in the top 5 of earners OVERALL!

I've answered the call to be a hero! I'm having my head shaved to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures.

Please support me with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.

Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
