I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

A couple months ago my dad was working at the grocery store when a man he never met before came up to him and asked him if he could help a little girl. My dad being the big-hearted teddy bear that he is, said "I'll sure try, what does she need?" And the man told him she wanted his hair. It hit too close to home. So for the first time in 16 years, my daddy cut off his long curls and donated it to Locks of Love. And now, he's supporting me, helping me raise money for when I shave my head.

I am a childhood cancer survivor of Acute Monoblastic Leukemia and I want to do what I can to help other children like me. I was watching Hulu, who had an ad for St. Baldricks and my favorite character on a show I watch was participating in St. Baldricks and it gave me the idea that I could do it too!

Reached my goal with a month to spare. :) Thank you everyone who helped make this possible. Dad and I are both sporting our new looks with pride and now in a race to see who's hair grows the fastest.
