I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Jump on the Baldwagon

After a year of anticipation, I am finally shaving my head in solidarity with children who have cancer. My cousin, Brittany Spaulding, lost her battle to Ewing's Sarcoma (a rare bone cancer that is most prevalent in children) at the age of 22. Her strength, courage, and love of life has inspired me and given me a more appreciative outlook on life. By shaving my head, I hope to honor her life, along with those who have successfully beaten, are battling, or have lost their lives to cancer. I am in awe at how resilient children are when thrown into such a tremendous trial at such a young age. Their childhood life is put on hold, yet they manage to persevere. By shaving my head, I hope to show to others that hair is just hair--bald is beautiful! Please make a donation on my behalf to support childhood cancer research so that all children diagnosed with cancer will have a better chance for a cure.
