I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

On a daily basis, I work with patients of all ages, that have some form of cancer. I always wanted to participate in St. Baldricks but I was afraid. It wasn't until my grandmother was diagnosised with liver and brain cancer that I decided to go ahead and participate. When my grandmother started losing her hair, she was embarassed to go out because she absolutely hated wearing wigs. The only place she would go was to the hospital. If she felt this way about her hair being gone, I can't imagine what a small child must feel like. My grandmother lost her battle with cancer on 11/23/2010 and it is in her honor that I will be having my head bald. Please make a donation on my behalf to support childhood cancer research so that all children diagnosed with cancer will have a better chance for a cure. To make a donation, click on "Make A Donation" or donate by mail or phone.Thank you for your support!
