I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Brianna's Brigade

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Brianna's Brigade

I suppose I was like most people. I cared about childhood cancer but it was something that happened to OTHER people. It didn't affect me. I'd help out with a couple of bucks if it wasn't an inconvenience but that was the extent of it.

My life changed dramatically on October 5th, 2008. That was the day my beautiful niece and goddaughter, Brianna Leigh Sharp was diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma, an aggressive and inoperable brainstem tumor. Brianna fought a courageous and inspirational battle but passed away on July 25th, 2009 at the age of 13.

I'm shaving my head in solidarity with children who typically lose their hair while fighting cancer. I'm shaving to honor Brianna and other children who have been stolen from us. I'm shaving to raise awareness and money for childhood cancer research!

Childhood cancer research is woefully underfunded. Money donated to St. Baldrick's Foundation fills a vital need in helping save young lives.

Please make a donation on my behalf to support childhood cancer research so that all children diagnosed with cancer will have a better chance for a cure.
