I have always been a person who was fasinated with the idea of helping people who were in need. I am a regular blood donor and I have even participated in a local modeling show to help raise money for a family who had lost their house and everything they own due to a fire. When I saw people shaving they're heads and cutting their hair at the St.Baldrick's fund raiser last year, I fell in love with the idea. After many months of explaining to my family and friends why I wanted to participate, I am finally becoming a shavee this year. I have no children in my family who has had cancer, but two of my uncles have past away due to cancer, which has broken up my entire family. I cannot even imagine how it must feel to see a child in your family go through turmoils of having cancer. But I am a proud aunt of 5 nieces and nephews and just the thought alone of them being hurt in anyway tears me up inside. So for this, my participation is for every family has had been through the struggles and torment of having a child with cancer for you are the strongest human beings in the world.
