I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Sat. March 8th: Today a friend dyed my hair purple, the color I've always wanted. However, it's only gonna be this shade violent violet for 9 more days, because on St. Pat's I'm shaving it all off to help cure children's cancer! Feel free to come watch me thumb my nose at both Vanity and Disease. The party is at Brogue's in Lake Worth, two days past the Ides of March (that's Monday the 17th for the non-nerds). The official shenanagins begin at 3:30 pm and end when the Irish quit dancing (this could take a while). I'll be there in the evening, probably 7-ish. In case you don't recognize me, I'll be the rather pale and slightly horrified-looking person waiting for my turn under the clippers. Even if you can't come see in person what I look like bald, please consider making a donation to St. Baldrick's. Then you too can join in the fight to put an end to childhood cancer (without even shedding a hair)! I thank you on behalf of myself, all the kids fighting the best fight, and the people that love them. Peace! Shanda (formerly known as Rapunzel) March 22 So the event went as planned, and I far surpassed my fundraising goal thanks to everyone's support. Now begins the little social experiment of being a chick without hair. I may write a novel.
