I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: 46 Mommas Shave for the Brave

I'm shaving my head because I have a choice...some kids don't have that choice when they are diagnosed with cancer. Our son, Max, didn't lose all of his hair during chemo and radiation, but many kids lose their hair and much more during their battle with cancer. Cancer is the number one killer of children in the U.S. It takes more kids than Cystic Fibrosis, diabetes, and AIDS combined. Unfortunately, pediatric cancer research is underfunded and overlooked. Max's cancer, Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma, hasn't had an advancement in treatment in over 30 years. It is devastating to hear "your son has cancer." What is even more devastating is to hear, "Your son has an inoperable, untreatable, terminal cancer because it is so rare and we don't have the funds to study it." Help me raise money for St. Baldrick's so no other family has to hear what we heard. Go to www.maxlacewell.com to learn more about Max.
