I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: 46 Mommas Shave for the Brave

I am shaving my head in honor of my daughter, Ella, who has battled a brain tumor for over two years now. After countless surgeries, multiple failed chemotherapy protocols, and most recently six weeks of proton radiation, she continues to remain spunky, out-going, happy, and positive about everything life throws her way. Her spirit is infectious. Her tumor cannot be fully removed so we hope and pray daily that it will not grow again. When compared with all she has been through, shaving my head is a simple choice, especially if it helps raise awareness and money for pediatric cancer research. The longer she has battled this tumor, the more our family has learned about the lack of funding for our children and the archaic treatments. Many chemotherapy agents used today on our children were around thirty years ago, we need something new, we need a CURE. On average, 46 children a day are diagnosed with cancer, please help give them a CURE, not a band-aid with life-long side effects. Thank you!!
