I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

First of all I want to let everyone know that through your generosity we have managed to raise $845 to help fight Cancer in children. In addition; a lady who wanted to remain anonymous donated an additional $100 bringing the total to $945. She was impressed that I drove 200 miles (400 round trip) from Dallas to OKC just for this event. I was very appreciative and told her so, it made going bald, a first experience for me, worth while. I want to thank Rachel Bundy for making it a Rees Associate's yearly event. But I also want to thank EVERYONE who donated to St. Baldrick’s; but more specifically for donating to this great cause. Cancer is a very fatal and debilitating disease. It is also an indiscriminating disease; attacking anyone….old and young alike. Sometimes sadly we come together to weep for those we lost to cancer; or we come together to celebrate its defeat with those who go into remission and survive Cancer. But at least this weekend, win or lose, we came together via donations to fight against Cancer…..to arm those scientists who research…help those doctors who treat patients. But more importantly we came to the aid of all children to give them a fighting chance. For that I thank you very much………The Children Thank you very much. God Bless
