I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

You heard it right - I'm shaving my head in solidarity with children who have cancer and typically lose their hair during treatment, while raising critical funds for childhood cancer research! I have been proud to be involved with St. Baldrick's since 2002, with this year the fifth I will be shearing the mullet in hopes of finding a cure for childhood cancer. Growing up in northwest Minnesota, I had a hockey teammate named Kyle Korinek have his life cut way too short after he was diagnosed with leukemia. After learning about St. Baldrick's through friends and colleagues in the reinsurance industry, I decided what better way than to jump "head" first into raising funds towards a cure, so that future goalies might find a better outcome than Kyle did. In the US, more children die of childhood cancer than any other disease. Please make a donation on my behalf to support childhood cancer research so that all children diagnosed with cancer ll have a better chance for a cure. To make a donation, please visit my home page at https://www.stbaldricks.org/participants/mypage/participantid/394814, or donate by mail or phone: St. Baldrick's Foundation 1333 South Mayflower Avenue, Suite 400 Monravia, CA 91016 888-899-BALD (2253) Thank you for your support!!! Tom --Pre- and Post- shave photos will be arriving over the weekend. There will be a mess (of hair) to clean up afterwards....
