I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: XL Group

When I told my mom I had cancer she said her heart was broken and that she wished it was her instead of me. You see, no mom wants her child to be in pain no matter how old her child is. Even as an adult dealing with cancer and experiencing the discomfort and pain of treatment I cannot even begin to fathom what a child going through cancer treatment is enduring. I’m very lucky that I feel strong physically, mentally and spiritually. Fortunately, I’ve had many years' experience to help me feel this way. A child hasn’t had the luxury of time or experience to learn to deal positively with cancer treatment but somehow they manage. As a mom, my heart goes out to mothers with children battling cancer; I now have an inkling of how they feel. This is why I chose to be a shavee and this is why I need your support to help Conquer Kids’ Cancer. My motto: I WILL SURVIVE and I truly believe that I WILL. Sincerely, Linda
