I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Bald and Blue

You heard it right: I'm shaving my head in solidarity with our little friend Emerson. A beautiful, vibrant three-year-old, Emerson is now in the fight of her life. And I couldn't be more willing to be in her corner. My goal, which is one I hope we share, is to support young Emerson and her family while helping to raise the critical funds needed to bolster research efforts for childhood cancer. And the good news is, I am not alone. I have had the opportunity to attend several St. Baldrick's events and have found the undercurrent of love and support at these events to be truly humbling. Join me, if you will, on March 6th at the Hibernian Pub in Cary. I'll be there with some of my best friends and of course, the spirit of Emerson, who is currently in treatment at a hospital in Minnesota. I would like to offer a special thank you to Larry Carter, owner of FUBAR Raleigh and Dive Bar Raleigh. His friendship and commitment to this cause has been demonstrated by his sending of supportive e-mails to thousands of patrons on Emerson's behalf. We hope to see them at the event. In the United States, no disease kills more children than cancer. Its reach is unfathomable and it is as equally difficult to predict. The fight grows more challenging every day. Please make a donation on my behalf to support childhood cancer research so that children like Emerson will have a better chance for a cure. To make a donation, click on "Make A Donation" or donate by mail or phone. Thank you for your support!
