I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Tipperary Hill

Terrence M. Tormey, CLTC, AEP, CLU, ChFC 4242 Wolf Hollow Road, Onondaga, N.Y., 13219 March 8, 2010 Dear Friend, You may find it strange that a bald man is soliciting funds to shave his head! However, when asked by my cousin, Billy Gooley, to join “Team Tipperary Hill” and raise money for the St. Baldricks Organization, I agreed for “family reasons”. Specifically, three family reasons. First of all, this year’s effort will be dedicated in memory of Jack Gooley, who died unexpectedly last October. The second is to celebrate the fact that Colin Gooley is still cancer free after several years. He was afflicted as a child-just what the St. Baldrick’s Foundation mission is all about-“Curing Kids with Cancer”. Lastly, in honor of my Aunt Ellen Gooley, (Bill and Jack’s mom and Colin’s grandmother) who along with her daughter Mary, is shaving her head!!!! Both have thick, curly, Irish hair! That is why I couldn’t say no to Billy when asked to support this effort and I hope you can’t either. Any amount between $1.00 and $100.00 would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you for your time and consideration! Please join us for the fun on Sunday afternoon, March 21st at Kitty Hoynes, downtown in Armory Square. Sincerely, Terry
