I have never had cancer. My children are healthy and strong.
I have lost a few close friends to cancer, but my family has been blessed and
fortunate. Not everyone in this life has had that same good fortune. When I
have read the stories of some of these children it absolutely breaks my heart -
to know that someone who’s life was just beginning now has to deal with
operations and surgeries and transfusions. “The largest preoccupation
children should have is what flavor ice cream they want to eat that day, not
whether or not they will die an untimely death.” (YTCracker - undisputed King of Nerdcore). I am making a CHOICE to shave my head to show my support and
solidarity with these children. I have that choice… they don’t. What can
you do? What will you do? Do have a spare dollar in your pocket? Have you told
your friends and family? If you would like to make a contribution to this wonderful cause, please go here: http://www.stbaldricks.org/participants/jasonp and click on "make a donation". If you have a chance then I encourage you to read some of the childrens stories as well and read up on St. Baldricks too. It is a wonderful organization. Perhaps you have other ways of doing something charitable and in that case, thank you for doing that. Thank you for doing something. It is people like you that are making this world a better place. Keep it up. Thanks again for your support.
P.S.: This is that last time that I am growing my hair out - EVER! say "G'BYE!"

PEOPLE,
THIS JUST IN :: I am now a PROUD member of team CHIN-CHILLAZ. The idea here is that we all have goatees that we are, well, kind of attached to (no pun intended). Founding members Jeremy J. and myself have had our goatees now for over 9 years (i shaved mine once for a job interview almost six years ago). 9 YEARS!!! we are gonna shed our chin warmers for the kids. This is, of course, in addition to us shaving our heads. PLEASE help make it worth it. Thank you.
13JANUARY2008
Hey everyone,
It is that time of year. I wanted to thank you all for your support last year and see if I could count on your support again this year. With your help we were able to raise $3,337.00. I think that it is great to know that there are so many people out there willing to help out. Either that or all just wanted me to cut my hair. Either way, we did a good job. When I say "we" I mean each and every one of you. I lost a total of 14" and to know that I had the support of each and every one of you really made it easy for me to say "goodbye" to my hair. This year we are stepping it up a notch. How many of you have seen my chin? Aside from family... not a single one. I have kind of become know for my goatee, which at times has been almost as long as my hair was. Well, if I reach my goal this year ($5000.00) then it is gone. I will even let the person who donates the most cut it off. Or perhaps some of you can pull together and make your donation even bigger as a group so that you can pick who gets to cut it off. Remember, it is only going if I reach my goal. Most importantly, remember that this is for the children. Cancer is the number one disease killer of children in the United States and over 160,000 kids will lose their hair from the therapy they will undergo after they are diagnosed with cancer. I am doing this to raise awareness of this disease and to show solidarity with these children by losing my hair too. What will you do? Please help me and them and spread the word. Tell everyone you know about this and send them to my page to help and make a contribution. If not me, please help someone else, and remember all the other ways you can help. For more information go to stbaldricks.org. Thank you all for your time and your support.

Sincerely,
