I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

With the cash and checks we collected Saturday my total donations came to $4125! I took 2nd place in fundraising and you know what, I kind of like being bald. Thanks again to everyone who donated and to everyone who showed up. It was a lot of fun raising money for such a great cause. A very good friend of mine, Benjamin, was recently diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Benjamin will be 3 in April. He is a brave little boy and I know he will kick ALL's behind and will be hanging out with his brother and me at Ocracoke this summer. They're like my little brothers. He will probably be losing his hair soon because of the chemo so I thought I would show him that it is cool to be bald. Its also cool to help raise money so that a cure can be found for cancer. They say that a child is diagnosed with cancer every 3 1/2 minutes. All cancers are cruel but somehow it seems even worse when it happens to a child, especially one as young as Benjamin. Please take a few minutes to make a donation. The size of the donation is not what's important because every penny counts. Thanks for visiting my site and considering a donation. Please let your friends know about this great cause and come on out to the Hibernian Pub in Cary, March 6th to watch my hair come off! If you want to learn more about Benjamin go to allaboutbenjaminb.shutterfly.com.
