"I am shaving my head to raise money to help cure cancer because I have had friends who have had cancer and its hard to go through. I miss my friend who died of cancer and I also have 3 cancer survivors in my family." Arden is shaving her head in support of those touched by cancer. St. Baldrick's is an organization that raises money to find a cure for childhood cancers. Arden will be dying her hair pink prior to the shave, and then the shave itself will bring more and more awareness to the fight against childhood cancers because of all the questions or looks Arden will receive. We are blessed that Arden is strong and healthy and that she is concerned for others and that's why she is shaving her head to raise money and awareness for the prevention of childhood cancer. Arden is shaving her head to honor her friend Colleen Moore who lost her battle with cancer in June of 2008. In addition, Arden currently has another child at her school that she is acquainted with who also has battled, and is currently in a reoccurrence of cancer and unable to attend school. Arden wants to also show support for Eleanor and her family. On a high point, we also recognize family members' Jessica, Ben and Dave for being cancer survivors!!!!!
