I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Yvonne

As many of you know, I lost my younger brother Ty to a pediatric cancer in 1996. Ty lost a courageous 15 month battle with ALL or Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia...shortly before his 20th birthday. Because of this experience, I have become heavily involved with an amazing charity that raises funds exclusively for cancer research. St. Baldricks Foundation is the largest all volunteer-driven charity that raises money exclusively for pedriatric cancer research. In it's 10th year, St. Baldricks has raised over $50 million dollars. The main fundraising mechanism is a head-shaving event held at locations all over the country and internationally. For the first time, I am having my head shaved in an act of solidaity for kids who lose their hair during treatment. I, along with Ty's childhood friend Sam, and his cousins have assembled Team Yvonne. We are raising funds this year in honor of Yvonne Zanos, who lost a two-year battle with Ovarian Cancer. Please help by donating to my cause and be sure to join us at the big head-shaving event in the Southside at Claddagh Irish Pub on March 13th from 12-4. In these tough economic times, any donations, large or small, are graciously welcomed. Cash, Check, and Credit Cards accepted. St. Bladricks is a 501 C-3 charity and donations are tax-deductible. Thank You, Drew
