I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: NetApp

I hope this email finds you well. It’s that time of year again; our New York team is gathering together in support of the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, an organization dedicated to benefit children with cancer. We are proud to be hosting our annual “shaving party” where participants raise money to shave their heads in solidarity and empathy for children who have lost their hair to chemo treatment. Newly sheered volunteers become walking billboards, further raising awareness for the cause. Year after year I have been blown away by the excitement, support, and generosity of supporters like you, and I am hopeful that we can once again knock it out of the park. Over the past three years, we’ve raise over $400,000 and this year our goal is to raise $100,000; all funds are granted to some of the most brilliant childhood cancer research experts in the world to find cures and improve the quality of life for patients and survivors. This year our event will be held on Thursday March 11th at Public House in NYC at 3:30pm. This event promises to be an exciting and fun filled time with live entertainment provided by the shaving of heads, bagpipers, celebrity guest appearances, as well as an open bar and plenty of food for all. It is my hope and wish that you will find it in your heart to donate, attend the event, or even better to join in the fun by shaving your head. You can also contribute to this remarkable foundation by leading your own fundraising effort on your own in support of my efforts. We recommend a $100 donation to join us at the event .For more information and or to make a donation please click here: http://www.stbaldricks.org/events/NetAppNewYork This is no ordinary event, and our shavees and donators are of the most remarkable of people, contributing to one of the most extraordinary of events, I hope you can be there to witness all of the fun that goes into this great cause! If you find yourself bold enough to join our group and go bald for the cause – please reach out to Megan Quinn meganq@netapp.com and she will set you up. Thank you for your consideration. Bill PS - The opening bid to have the honor of taking the first cut at my head again will be $1500, and anyone donating $1000 or more will also get special recognition the night of the event as well as the opportunity to take a shear.
