I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Clarkstown PBA

You heard it right - For the first time since the police academy I'm shaving my head. This is not part of a new department regulation; it's to show solidarity to children who have cancer and typically lose their hair during treatment. It is also to raise funds for childhood cancer research. My son Robby (6 years old) has decided to help me and get his head shaved also. On a personal note, I lost my cousin Sean Michael McDonald to leukemia when he was only 15 years old. I was young and never had the opportunity to get to know Sean as well as the older cousins did, but I do remember the family heartache. It is with my Uncle Vinny's blessing that Robby and I are raising funds in Sean's honor so that other families will hopefully never have to deal with the heartache of losing a child.
