I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Rebels Without A 'Do

Greetings! Thanks for stopping by my webpage. Every year, childhood cancer turn the lives of far too many children (160,000 worldwide) and their families upside down, or snuff out their light at far too early an age. Childhood cancer, just like any other cancer, is cruel, and it doesn't discriminate. It plays dirty. It's a playground bully that we haven't figured out how to rid our world of yet. But we can stand up to it. We can join the fight with the brave young boys and girls who withstand chemo, radiation, and surgery. We can show them that a diagnosis and treatment plan doesn't define them. A lack of hair doesn't diminish them. And we can show them they are not alone. This year, I am hoping to crank up my fundraising. So here's a little more incentive. If I make my goal of $1000, not only will I go "clean" down to a true shave once I get home after the event (no razers allowed at the event), but I will shave my goatee, too. That hasn't been gone since before Shannon and I got married (2002). What's more, if I make $1500, I'll keep it all off for a month, rather than letting it start to grow back right away. If I make $2000, I'll be bald until June! Please consider making a donation to St. Baldricks to help me reach my goal and bring an end to childhood cancer. THANKS! Jim Heffron
