It has been almost a year since my oldest daughter Claire finished her cancer treatment for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). She went through chemotherapy on a regular basis from August 2006 until March of 2009 both at St. Jude's Children Hospital in Memphis and at home in Las Vegas. Her courage in the face of cancer has been an inspiration to me. Her strength dealing with all of the difficulties of treatment, such as losing her hair and feeling like throwing up all of the time, has motivated me to do something to help raise money to fund research into better treatment for childhood cancer. I have organized a team at my office to shave their heads again this year. I ask that you please consider donating something this year, even it is small I can assure you that every little bit counts.
Claire is now an 8th grader and is looking forward to starting high school this fall. Money raised from events like St. Baldrick's have gone to help support the effort to be able to cure childhood cancer. My daughter is alive now thanks to the generosity from people who give to help support childhood cancer research. No child, or family, should ever have to go through what we did, so I ask that you please try to help out this year and raise money for St. Baldrick's. Thank you for your support!
