In July 2007 my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. During her treatments she met several others fighting a similar battle. Every cycle they met in the same place to be pumped full of medicine and to start mentally preparing themselves for surgery and survival. Now two and a half years later they walk down the street and you know they are survivors. They simply GLOW. There is no other way to describe it, they are the most beautiful women I know.
Which brings me to St. Baldricks. A year ago I was blessed with a very happy, healthy baby boy. He is the joy of my life. The very thought of watching him go through chemo and surgery has me in instant tears. My wish would be that no parent ever had to give their child 'angel status'.
Since cancer will always exist the best we can hope for are cures. So I'm putting my vanity aside in an attempt to get all of you to open up your hearts and wallets:o) Please, please, please support this wonderful cause. Whether you donate $1 or $400 every penny counts when you are fighting for life.
