I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research
Hi everyone and thanks for visiting my St. Baldrick's site. I will be participating as a "shavee" at this years event in Romeo Michigan on March 13th! This is my first year as a participant (I wanted to shave my head last year but my Mom didn't think I was serious. She told me if I still wanted to the next year she would support me.) so please help me reach my goal to raise $1000.
I will be shaving my head to honor a special little girl who lost her battle against Synovial Sarcoma this past November. Her name is Ashlee Drouillard and she was so brave. I want to show kids my age that being bald is beautiful and that childhood cancer is a really serious problem. I don't want other kids to have to go through what Ashlee had to and if they do, I want to show them that people their own age support them.
I will be shaving my head at around 3:30 p.m. and really hope you come to watch and support me (really my mother and twin sister will need your support).
I am really excited about this and hope you all help me raise awareness and money for this very important event.
Thank you and see you on March 13th!
Nicky
