I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Towers Watson

I'm thrilled to be a first-time shavee and looking forward to the extra fifteen minutes of sleep every morning instead of fussing with my hair. I am joining St. Baldrick's this year in memory of my husband, Steve, who died of cancer in September. I got to see first-hand the treatments now available to cancer patients. There have been so many new treatments developed in the last ten years, including those to lessen the physical suffering that accompanies cancer and cancer meds, and so much of the research has been funded through events like St. Baldrick's. I feel honored that the act of merely shaving my head can help to lessen the pain of a child who has to live with cancer and make their lives, and the lives of their parents, more comfortable. Many hugs, kisses, and noogies to those to contribute to all the Towers Watson shavees!
