I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Aflac Cancer Center

I am very excited to join St. Baldrick's this year. As many know, the last time I had even remotely short was almost 15 YEARS ago. Why would I shave my head? I am shaving my head because of the 17 year old girl who wants a gorgeous style when attending her prom. I am shaving my head for the 3 year old who lost all of his hair while suffering other side effects such as vomiting and anemia but doesn't understand why. Finally, I am shaving my head so that no parent has to lose their child to cancer. One more reason to shave- I recently met at 12 year old girl who was undergoing her third round of chemo. After her fourth she will need a bone marrow transplant. Her younger brother (age 7) will be the donor. Cancer affects everyone. Why only $5? If every single person donates $5, then we can raise enough money to find a cure. I am intending to donate the length of my hair as well to Wigs for Kids. More information on this great group can be found at www.wigsforkids.com. Thank you for donating!
