I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: 46 Mommas Shave for the Brave

46 Cancer Mommas from across the States have come together with an AMAZING idea, shaving our heads to raise funds & awareness for childhood cancer research. The number 46 represents the number of children diagnosed with cancer each day. Our bald heads will be a gesture of love and support for the children fighting for their lives and to honor those who have lost their fight. St. Baldrick's is the largest private source of funds for research into childhood cancer in the world. Every 3 1/2 minutes, a child is diagnosed with cancer. One in four will not survive. Despite tremendous progress, cancer remains the number one disease killer of children in the U.S. We need more funding for research, and that will only happen with greater awareness. My son was 21 months old when he was diagnosed with Leukemia. Hearing the doctor say that my son had cancer was devastating. Having a child with Cancer changes your life. I have watched too many children succumb to cancer, and I will work tirelessly to bring awareness to childhood cancer. Your donation can help save lives. To make a donation, click on "Make A Donation" or email me to donate by mail or phone. Thank you for your support! Melanie
