I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Cirque du SoBald

3/1/2010: I want to send a big thank you to Cafe Reva and my sister Crystal, for the outstanding efforts this past weekend. She raised $700 for St. Baldricks. Thank you to the Staff and Customers of Cafe Reva, on Tyler Street, in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. Greetings to all my friends and family, and especially to my fellow Cirquesters. This year is my first year I am participating in the St. Baldrick's Shave-a-thon. I am pleased to offer my head to raise awareness and to fund research on childhood cancer. When I was growing up, I learned that my Uncle, whom I was very close too, was diagnosed and was undergoing treatment for Leukemia. He is now fully recovered and living in working in Las Vegas. As I grew older and began my career in the medical field, I soon realized how easily it would have been to lose him to cancer. As most of you know, I am a big Boston Red Sox fan and they support cancer research. My Uncle received treatment and care from some of those charities and I want to give back. With out foundations or Organizations like The Jimmy Fund, Dana Farber Institute, Ronald McDonald House Charity and St. Baldrick's, funding for research and treatment of these diseases would not be possible and my uncle may not be here today. Please take a few moments of your time to help support me and my efforts in funding this research. If you need more information or assistance please contact me and I will assist you in any way possible. Thank you for your time, contribution, and support.
