I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Tulane Class of 2010

Thanks so much for all the support. This charity truly is getting to make a difference in the lives of children with cancer. In 2004, a 10 year old boy, Chris, was diagnosed with AML. Chemotherapy did not work. And, every time he was scheduled for a bone marrow transplant, he got sick, very sick, and the wait continued until he was well enough to start the transplant process. Unfortunately, Chris passed away 2 years later. My good friend, Dr. Lauren Chernick, cared for Chris, and she recently told me that "There are a few patients that we see that we cannot forget. For me, it is Chris." And so, I will be shaving my head on March 12th to honor Chris and also to support physicians like Lauren, who work so hard and do so much for the patients they treat.
