After viewing many of my family members shave their heads year after year, I have decided this year is my year to participate.
As many of you know my 17 year old cousin Alicia was diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer in May of 2007. Since then she has gone through 6 rounds of chemo, 31 rounds of radiation and high dose chemo and a stem cell transplant. The good news is that Alicia is doing much better. She has been out of treatment since last April. She still goes for check-ups at least once a month and has scans every three months to make sure the cancer has not returned. Her next scans will be in April.
The protocols that made this possible were due to cancer research. Please support St Baldricks so that we can find a cure for cancer and no other child has to endure what Alicia and other children with cancer have to go through.
Last year we were able to raise $65,000 this year our group is much smaller and needs the support of anyone who wants to shave with us or donate.
Thanks again!!
