I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

If anyone really knows me well, I am one of those people who is really attached to their hair, probably cause I look funny with short hair...I was hit with the idea to give up my hair for the hope of helping to fund cancer research and join the large group of people at my school who are also sacrificing their hair to support those who have cancer and to raise donations for the research of childhood cancer. I remember watching a movie this past year called "The Ultimate Gift" that particularly intrigued me. The story was of a rich and selfish heir who was to receive the "ultimate gift" that his millionaire grandfather had left him. His gift wasn't anything close to the money or fortune he expected, and came in an entirely different, life-changing way. Through his search for his gift he came across a young 8 year old girl who had been diagnosed with Leukemia and was confined to her hospital room with only her single mother. The story showed me an example of the walk of faith that Christ followers take on life with, and if you search hard enough, and open-minded enough, you can find God's presence in any situation no matter how hard it is. The fight for cancer is very close to my heart, even though i haven't been directly related to cancer, some of my very close friends have. I hope to help support those fighting cancer and those who have loved ones in the war that we don't always see. Does Hair Really Matter?
