I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Nacho Balde

Pediatric Cancer Reserach is more than just a charity cause for me - it's my life. For the past seven years I've worked with doctors at Northwestern University and currently at The University of Chicago Medical Center studying Neuroblastoma - the most common solid tumor cancer in children outside of the brain. Although there have been huge strides made in understanding and treating cancer in children, we could be doing so much better. The real cures are going to lie not with our current procedures, but with the promise of research and new therapeutics. Team Nacho Balde consists of myself (a volunteer photographer) and three awesome shavees - my husband Tony, my brother-in-law Dan and my father Fred. Thank you so much for supporting their efforts to shave their heads in solidarity with children with cancer and supporting the work done by me and the countless other research scientists devoted to pediatric cancer!

We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
