I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I AM SHAVING MY HEAD! Yes, you read it right - I'm shaving my head in solidarity with children who have cancer and typically lose their hair during treatment, while raising critical funds for childhood cancer research! My name is Adriana R. and Ive been inspired to take action. I work at a coffee shop in a hospital and I have witnessed first hand the struggles/obstacles/pain that children fighting cancer must face day in and day out. One little girl in particular has stolen my heart. I've had the privilege of getting to know her over the past year and her courage/strength/determination/grace in the face of such an incredibly terrible trial of spirit is truly inspiring. My participation is a tribute to her. Compared to their struggle, shaving my head is a small sacrifice and the money raised will help give these young heroes hope for a brighter future. Thank you for your support! Please help me reach my goal of $1,000.00 by April 25th! If you or anyone you know (friend/family/work) is able/willing to donate it would be ever so appreciated. No amount is too big or too small- every gift matters so much. Please repost and spread word of the cause! "Once you choose hope, anything's possible."-Christopher Reeve
