I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: NetApp

Update: 3/9/2009- Apologies to Mike Finegan, I took his photo down this mornign so I could put up the Blonde/Orange photo. Could not resist... It will be back up later today. Read on: Last year I attended my second St. Baldricks event with NetApp and was approached about half way through the evening and asked if I had plans to shave my head. I politely declined. Although I had no fears about the actual shaving or how I might look, (head shaving was a regular part of my High School and College swimming years), I wanted to be able to raise a decent amount of money for a worthwhile charity. I was asked How much do you think you can raise? I figured about $5,000. 90 minutes later the same individual approached me again to tell me that over $15,000 had been put on my head. I jumped at the chance, and with some prodding from our head Shavee Bill Hogan, the number went up over $16,000. $16,000 raised for kids with Cancer because I agreed to shave my head. How could I not do it again this year? This is a different year though, and I realize that. So rather than trying to beat a $16,000 number in a year where the economy is poor, Ive set my goal back to the original- $5,000. Please help me to raise $5,000 to support this worthwhile organization, and join me on March 10th when I shave my head again. It will be fun, and its for a great cause.
