Well, this was my first year doing St. Baldrick's, and I had a total blast. The Buff Bus Team was the greatest collections of misfits and criminals this side of the Mississippi, and now I look the part.
But really, I find childhood cancer to be one of the most tragic of the whole spectrum of this terrible ailment. Taking a kid's opportunity to grow and learn and love life and instead confine them to long and painful treatments, which might not work in the end, is something that breaks my heart every time I see it.
I am amazed and grateful for the folks who are doing this year-round and all over the world, and I'm glad to have been a part of it. I plan on continuing to do so, especially since it seems I don't look too bad without so much hair. ;-)
