My precious son William at age 7 loved W.W.F. wrestling, hockey goalies, and Pop Tarts. When he died 10 years ago this March , I was devastated. No parent should ever go through that pain. More recently I have witnessed loved ones such as Aunt Joanie and Megan courageously battle cancer. So what can I do to honor the memory of my son this March?
You heard it right - I'm shaving my head in solidarity with children who have cancer and typically lose their hair during treatment, while raising critical funds for childhood cancer research! In the US, more children die of childhood cancer than any other disease.
Shaving my head will be worthwhile if the funds raised prevent even one family from suffering like mine did. Please make a donation on my behalf to support childhood cancer research so that all children diagnosed with cancer will have a better chance for a cure.
