Well, I received a challenge to grow my hair to unbelievably long lengths at the beginning of last year. So I figured hey, why not, I will have fun growing it and at the end it will be donated to a great cause. Well, I didn't think of the personal consequences this would bring. I am in the Criminal Justice Program at Lake Worth High School and they require you to have either short clean cut hair or if you are a male with long hair, you need to keep it in braids on uniform day. Quite a hassle this turned out to be. You have no idea the things I had to go through to keep my hair braided every Thursday! As you can see I have an extremely large "jewfro" and it has sort of become a part of me. At first I thought it would be tough to leave it at Brogues but then I realized, cancer patients and patients of chemotherapy don't really have a choice. I am glad that I will be able to shave my head in solidarity of children who lose their hair during cancer treatment. Please, anything you are willing to give would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much. Hope to see you there!
