I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Dear friends, family and all, Where to start? It has taken me a long time to get myself to commit to becoming a Shavee for St. Baldrick's day but now that I've made my decision, I'm excited! St Baldrick's is the largest volunteer-driven fundraising event for childhood cancer research. Unfortunately, Cancer has affected everyone and each and every case is heartbreaking. We all have experienced the wrath of this disease whether it may be a family member, a friend, a loved one or yourself. This year St. Baldrick's, Bermuda will be held on March 14th, 5 pm at the Bermuda Athletic Association. For more details and to donate see: http://www.stbaldricks.org/members/shavees/update_info.html?ParticipantKey=2008|30853 I am asking for your assistance with fundraising for this worthy cause to help make a difference. Here are some thoughts I would like for you to consider while you decide whether to support childhood cancer research. The cost of a dinner out - $75 The cost of a Friday night bar outing - $100 The cost of a dozen roses for Valentine's day - $150 The cost of a Spa Day - $150 The cost of a round of golf with 3 of your best buddies - $350 The cost of seeing me BALD! - PRICELESS Of course any donation will be much appreciated. It's just another perspective to consider that giving up one of life's small pleasures for a day is well worth potentially saving lives. Please help me send this message to everyone. It would truly mean a lot to me for you to support this venture. You may sponsor me online or contact me to collect and I will register your donation online for you. Yours truly, Amy
