I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

"If its to be, its up to me!" I want to help provide funding for cancer. I cannot concern myself with lack of support or participation if I don't step up and take action, and that is what I am going to do. Many of my friends and family members have been victims of cancer. Being a victim doesn't necessarily mean that you are the person with the disease. Being a victim means that in one way or another your life is affected and changed because of cancer and the effects it plagues on the patient and those closest to them. I am going to shave my head! Several of us, around the nation, are participating in St. Baldrick's Day to raise money and awareness for cancer research and relief. Plus, bald heads are funny (sorry Uncle Ron)! I am doing this for every person that has cancer, for those who will be diagnosed with cancer and for all of those who have been affected by the disease. I am doing this for: Grandma Hartman Grandma Doll Grandma Parkinson Grandpa Doll Grandma Surato Uncle Ron Ed Reling Rose Reling Mike Franko Garnie McDaniel I've been known to do some things Others can't believe I've made people shake their heads In utter disbelief Well, here I am, once again Prepared to celebrate I'm going to shave my head for cash For Ol' St. Baldrick's Day! The money earned will benefit Those who live with the cancer scare Its time to step up and do something For most - its only hair! In honor of those who are stricken In memory of those who have passed Help me to make a difference Because those victims won't be the last
