I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Tulane Class of 2010

Hey everyone, I'm shaving my head! Yep, you heard me right. I'm going to shave my head! I'm going to chop off my long flowing locks of hair on St. Patrick's Day. Some say my hair kind of defines who I am and without it I just will never be the same. Well, why am I doing this then? I am shaving my head to raise awareness of childhood cancer and raise money for the St. Baldrick's Foundation Since its inception in 2000, St. Baldrick's has raised more than $34 million and grown into the world's largest fundraising event for childhood cancer. Worldwide 160,000 kids are diagnosed with cancer each year and despite tremendous progress, cancer remains the #1 disease killer of children in the U.S. and Canada. St. Baldrick's research grants help fill crucial funding gaps at medical institutions where children are treated for cancer (including Tulane Hospital for Children here in New Orleans) ensuring the finest care for every child. I would love for you to help me raise as much money and awareness for the foundation as possible not only to help justify my crazy decision, but to help fund crucial research into this deadly disease. My goal is to get as many people as possible involved so even if you can only donate $1 it would mean a lot to me as well as those affected by childhood cancer. If you can't donate, that's okay, but please, tell your friends, family, neighbors (anyone!) about our cause so that the word gets around and people become aware of the impact that childhood cancer can have. Please tell other friends who may not have gotten my emails to check this page out. If I haven't talked to you in forever, gimme a call at 832-567-8548 or email me at sameeralisyed@gmail.com. I'd love to hear from you. Thanks!!! I love you guys!
