I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Mike T's Team (THD)

t was only thru the giving of generous friends and friends of friends that we were able to raise over $10,000 for kids cancer research and treatment for St. Baldrick's Foundation. We raised almost $2000 the night of the event alone. I am blessed with some of the greatest supporters and it is they who made this happen for which I give many thanks. And as a final gift 18 inches of hair is going to Locks of Love! ******************************************************************************* "Don't do it. Don't cut your hair!" I have heard this a lot since I started thinking about joining this fight against cancer. While watching my friends get shaved last year I remembered a girl in my elementary school who was bald. She was the first person I ever met with cancer though I didn't know it at the time. She didn't survive. Since then I have lost 2 uncles to cancer, dragonboated with an amazing team of breast cancer survivors, and have met many kids with cancer from my work with Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. In the US, more children die of childhood cancer than any other disease. When I learned that many people don't get completely shaved but just get a drastic cut I thought ok I can do that. But if you want to see what I would look like bald then make your voice heard with your donation. In the spirit of voting, it's up to you! IF WE RAISE $10,000 THE VOTING SIDE WITH THE MOST DONATIONS WINS! Vote SHAVE to find out what I look like with no hair Vote SAVE for just a drastic cut and help me keep those last few critical inches To vote just email mimi.chan@att.com - there's nothing you need to check or note on this site. To be sure we count your vote please give by Sat noon online or in person at the event before 9pm. Please give, ask a friend to give, and let's do it. Let's cut my hair and help save a child! P.S. Don't forget to ask your company if they match. Thanks for giving!
