I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team CKCKC

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team CKCKC

Why am I shaving my head, and why should you care?

This year marks the thirtieth anniversary of my Mom’s passing from a rare form of cancer called Krukenberg. The average age of patients diagnosed with Krukenberg tumors is around 45 years. They have a poor prognosis, with a median survival time of only 14 months. My mom was 51 years old when she passed after battling this cancer.

Shirley Meyer lives in my heart every single day and I am so grateful for the love that she provided for everyone who was fortunate enough to know her.

For the past three years, I have watched my daughter, Olivia Shirley Meyer, champion my mom through a St. Baldrick's event at her school. She has shaved her head twice, and has been involved in planning the event. This is her fourth year participating, and I am so proud of her bravery and commitment to this cause. Through her efforts, Olivia has raised a considerable amount of money to further cancer research.

Now it’s my turn. Please donate this year as I partner with my daughter and shave my head in memory of Shirley Meyer so that no more lives are lost to cancer.

Thank you!

-Paul
