I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Why am I shaving my head, and why should you care?

The first time I participated in St. Baldrick's I did so after one of my best friends had been diagnosed with cancer. The second time, it was for similar reasons and because when I saw adults fighting the fight, I couldn't imagine a child having to go through that. In 2017, I was a relatively new Mom and the impact of childhood cancer took on an entirely new meaning. I looked at my beautiful baby girl and couldn't bring myself to consider what it would be like if she were diagnosed. Bring forward the clock a few years later and a professional colleague went through the unfathomable... he lost his son to cancer. It is in honour of Eoghan Homan and all children who are currently fighting cancer and who have become angels watching us from above that I participate this year.

Your donation will make a difference. Please help me raise the funds necessary to find better treatments and cures for childhood cancers.

Thank-you!!
