I am shaving to raise money for childhood cancer research

Why am I shaving my head, and why should you care?

13 years ago I started my journey by deciding to raise money for pediatric cancer research. I was still in my 30's and my kids were still in grade school.

In that time you have all helped me raise nearly $10,000 to fight this terrible disease. With Kitty Hoynes announcing that this is the last year they are hosting an event I have also decided to make this my last event.

BUT......I want to go out with a bang! I want this to be the best year yet for donations. It started by honoring the memory of a college friend that lost his battle. Since then I have honored others in my life that have battled. We have all been affected by cancer and it needs to end.

I urge you to help in any way that you can. Every dollar raised is one step closer to the ultimate goal of ending pediatric cancer.
