Why am I shaving my head, and why should you care?
This started out as simple bet between myself and my identical twin grandsons on February 12, 2024. They total grandpa he was to two old to get his hair as long as theirs. Well a year and a month later it is longer as they both opted for a trim and grandpas is still going. As long as I have been going this long I decided I might as well just keep going as see if I can help someone else out as my hair will grow back again.
This year, I'm joining thousands of others to shave my head to raise money for childhood cancer research!
Did you know, 1 in 5 kids diagnosed with cancer in the U.S. won't survive? For those who do, more than 96% have severe or life-threatening conditions by the time they are 50.
Each shaved head, every dollar donated, creates a ripple effect of progress for kids with cancer.
Your gift will give kids and their families hope, supporting the best research across the country, through the largest charity funder of childhood cancer research grants, the St. Baldrick's Foundation.
Come see me get my head shaved on June 19, 2025 at the Farmers Mutual Hail of Iowa office in West Des Moines Iowa for a good cause. Please contribute to this worthy cause with some of your hard earned money as there are kids out there that will greatly appreciate your effort to help with research into a horrific disease that can affect so many kids who just want to be a kid!
Together, let's give these kids the lifetime they deserve. Thank you for your support!
