My laboratory at MUSC studies childhood cancers driven by proteins made from two fused genes. These cancers are difficult to treat and have very poor outcomes. Our goal is to uncover new "Achilles' heels" for these cancers so we can discover more effective and less toxic therapies for these patients.
Why am I shaving my head, and why should you care?
