Why am I shaving my head?

I honor a dear dear friend who died at 20 years old from her second cancer, having "beat" the first as a young teenager.

She taught me so much and while she lives everyday on my heart - i join here with others to honor each and every child - and every person regardless of age who has fought this battle.

I am also inspired by my students who may one day "solve" this medical problem for all of us.
